This year, students will be participating in flat stanley. Flat Stanley is a project in which students create a paper character and send "him"/"her" to relatives, friends or acquantainces all over the world. All of the people who recieve your students flat stanley will be asked to take pictures with the paper character at all of the different locations that you take it to. They will also write short journal entries.
This project is a lot like a pen-pal activity! Your students will get to see their flat stanley at places all over the world. They will learn to communicate through e-mail and written mail, and will learn how to creatively write a journal entry.
